Designer Kim Lapin lived with her husband and young daughter in Los Angeles, but longed for the slower pace of her childhood in Palos Verdes for her family. When she began looking for a possible home, she returned to the California suburbs and found a house in her favorite neighborhood, Rolling Hills. "The area is known for looking like something out of a storybook because all the houses have different architectural styles," the designer recalled. "It's a nice, safe place to raise a family."
